FIFA World Cup Final and Semi Final 2018

In 2019 LS Events were tasked with hosting a Fan Zone for the FIFA World Cup Semi Final. This event was required to integrate into one of the UK’s largest music festivals. The Fan Zone had a capacity of 30,000 and was developed to avoid any conflict with the normal running of all previously scheduled shows.
A World Cup football audience would be a significant shift in demographic from that expected for BST. Due to this unforeseen change, the safety of the event was of paramount concern, particularly to the local authorities. Appropriate actions were taken to manage audience through ticket balloting, adapting site infrastructure, implementing new site design and developing an entire suite of Event Management Plans to satisfy all Authorities and Stakeholders.
LS Events were also tasked with developing the event plans to deliver a further screening on the South Lawns of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and other venues around London within 96 hours.
