Kate Ramsey
Projects Manager
First Gig:
The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Hyde Park 2003
Proudest moment of your event career so far:
Working on the London 2012 Olympics as a Stage Manager for the aerial performers.
Favourite event you’ve worked on:
Brockwell park - I like the park and what Mighty Hoopla stands for. It has such a good vibe and its a great event to work for.
Kate went to Mount View Academy of Theatre and Arts to study technical theatre, and then realised she didn't want to work in theatre, preferring the exciting world of live events. She then got a job working with our very own Jess Noakes as a Technical Production Assistant at the London 2012 Olympics, moving on to work as a Stage Manager for the aerial performers at the opening ceremony. This led to Kate stage managing at several international ceremonies and events including the Sochi Olympics 2014, the Rio Olympics 2016 and the Commonwealth Games. She later joined Loud Sound (now LS Events) as a freelance Projects Assistant before becoming a permanent staff member in the autumn of 2021.
