Proudest moment of your event career so far:
As I watched the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, I felt proud to have been part of the site team that managed the infrastructure install for the public viewing. The collective hard work and long hours that we put in paid off as we saw the crowds gather to pay their respects. It was a humbling moment, and I felt grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an important event.
Favourite event you’ve worked on:
The favorite event that I've been part of was "The Halloween Playground" at HTHAC. The event was curated and managed by a small team that aimed to bring a derelict Town Hall back to life, as part of a series of events. It was an immersive experience featuring live music, attractions, and bars, and the atmosphere was electric. Being involved in bringing the Town Hall back to life over the course of a four-year residence was an incredible journey, with this event being a definite highlight.
Benedict Langley is an experienced events professional with a diverse background in technical production, stage, site, and bar management. They started their career in the events industry as a bartender before progressing to managing bars for a host of events and venues, including HTHAC - An Arts Centre formed in a 1930's Town Hall in North London. With a passion for creating exceptional experiences, Benedict went on to work as a touring stage and production manager on a variety of productions, including Circus & Cabaret shows, Theatre, and Live Music, in cities such as London, Las Vegas, Paris, and Edinburgh. During the pandemic, they joined LS Events to manage COVID-19 test centres in North-East London, showcasing their adaptability and ability to deliver successful projects under challenging circumstances. Since then, they have become a valued member of the LS Events team, working on Operation London Bridge and site managing within the Formula E team. Benedict brings extensive international experience and technical expertise to every event they work on. They have a proven track record of delivering successful projects. With their commitment to delivering event excellence, and a dedication to creating exceptional experiences, Benedict is a valued events professional in the LS Events Team.
